Dropper post

Hi guys,

I am looking to purchase a dropper post. 30.9 diameter with 100mm travel, external cabling. I found a Rockshox Reverb used for a good price but unfortunately it turned out to be a 125mm.

Question is: What can I get NEW for a decent price (+/- R 3500.00 or less) that works very well and does not have huge costs to service.

NOTE: I CANNOT use the Lyne Dropper. They only come external in 125mm.

Thanks :)

I Think I sent you a message, not sure...

I should be getting my dropper back from Giant  during this week.  It new, well.. 2 rides new.  The cartridge will be brand new when it comes back, as it is being replaced under warranty.

150mm  internal or external routing.  I think the total length of the post is around 440mm or so.

I got a Fox Transfer from Stoke recently. The performance model was R4065 excluding lever. The Fox lever is R900, but I paired it with a Lyne 1x lever at R200, so R4265 all in.

I considered the cartridge posts from Lyne and others, but decided I wanted a hydraulic, serviceable post. Just my preference. According to internet comments & reviews the Fox posts have proven to be the most reliable.

Very happy with it so far.

OP asked for a 100mm dropper. This is 120mm.

Wow....

Maybe he must just contact Rapide to inquire. 100mm posts are difficult to find, especially in his price range.

May I ask why it has to be 100mm? Why not just only use 100mm of the 125mm drop? If its to do with the length of the seat tube available, get a dropper with a shorter post. Giant ones used to be available in 375mm and 400mm I think.

I have a 100mm dropper, and actually wouldn't mind a little extra drop, though 100 does do the job. I'm actually toying with the idea of the Lyne now as I like the fixed external cable on the collar.

Still running a Gen 1 Giant dropper 375mm with 100mm drop. Has some play at full extension that I need to sort out, otherwise I would have made a plan for  you.
