Does anyone know what the plans are for the building at the old shooting range in Eden Forrest. I see they are renovating it. Is there a coffee shop coming?

IIRC it used to be the planned sales office of the golf estate that was planned for the forest. Fortunately a moratorium was placed on golf Estates and the wheels of estate development slowed down.

I really hope it isn't the rebirth of that.

You talking about the hut at top of first eden climb where the karate school was ?  They redo that place almost every year and gets vandalized and fixed up again.

No man. How did you get from them buffing an old dilapidated building to a new golf estate?

 

It's supposed to be used for seminars & education programs. At least that's what I've been told.

 

The trails there are GREAT at the moment and are getting a little love from the Stellenbosch Trail Fund folks. It's one of the few places left where we can ride in the pines. Link that with Mont Marie, G Spot and Koetzenberg and you've got a proper ride. FOR FREE!!!!
