Ritte Ace Build

The below was my original post.

i have now bought the frame and will be posting pics of the journey

Super Excited!

So i'm itching to build...

i have a Chorus Groupset that i got as part of a sale.

i am not sure whether to sell it on or make use of it....

if i go with this build the frame i am looking at is the Ritte Ace in Light Blue

this is mostly because it is so different from anything out there. i also believe it is 1 of 3 in this colour out of the 15 in the Country.

i have the wheels(campag shamal ultra 15C), tires, groupset (just need brake calipers), pedals and saddle.

so would need the frame, bottle cages, brake calipers, stem, bars, and likely full cable set.

i'd have to spend a bit to make this happen which is what is holding me back.

the frame alone is R19900.

its also tempting to wait for something to pop up in the classifieds.

i'm also nervous about not going with something a bit more technologically advanced.

needs to be eye catching/different - but in a classy sort of way.

Thoughts?

How 'bout Record EPS with the new Chorus crank?

And, even though they are spez, go for the Carbon hoops.

Super tempted to do that but i have a thing about mixing groupsets...

it must match! i do not know why...

as for the Spez hoops. yeah.

those were bought based on pure research. ie vs other brands and cash i was willing to outlay.

having ridden everything from AX lightness to bora's i really do agree that these at this point in time these are unicorn wheels. they meet most points to 99% of the percentile.

on different note: the Ritte Ace frame arrived at my offices today! looks fantastic

just sorting out a few niggles.

also waiting on a sigmasport.co.uk delivery. then the build begins!

anyone have a "cutting a fork" guide lying around?

last i did this was 10 years ago and the frame came with a metal guide to ensure the cutting happened in a straight line.

I don't like mixed groups either, but when you are talking about this:

I'll make an exception. They look close enough.
