Why do you want wrist based on a cycling computer? Or do you also have a running problem?

Good point.... however I'd like the added convenience, even if theres somewhat of a compromise wrt outright hr accuracy. Also it can be used for other sports and as a daily activity tracker.

I've had mine for about a year. Strap still ok. Works fine I'm not too worried about tech stuff , so it does all I want. GPS works fine , distance corresponds with bike computer.

Now and then HR monitor gives wrong reading. I normally tighten the strap a notch. As others said it's mostly in the gym . On the bike it's ok . Sometimes you just move it on your wrist a bit and it wakes up.

It's not such a big issue that I wouldn't buy the watch again. I like my watch.

Hi Jonesy

From our experience we have found the following...

Pro's - Great Value & Well Priced.

Con's - Battery life is limited and often requires charging. Watch Straps can sometimes be difficult to find and they do tend to break more than other brands.

Overall - For the price it is a Great Value watch, there are better more expensive options available and depending on the size of your wrist it can look bulky and not comfortable to wear on a daily basis. However for the price it is a very popular & cost effective option.

If you are looking to buy the TomTom Spark 3 Cardio we do have them available on our website together with Garmin, Polar & FitBit options. Check out our website.

Watch vs bar mounted ...

I have the Polar M400 watch (use this on my commute bike).

- takes forever to locate the satelites ...

- NOT nice looking down at your wrist while riding !! - ended up buying a bar mount for it

- heart rate is more consistant than with Garmin

- very nice PC interface to view your stats afterwards

I use the Garmin 520 for my trail bike

- MUCH nicer to watch your stats on the fly when it is on the handlebar

- you can locate the satelites while getting ready for the ride, and it is quick

- heart rate belt must be worn much higher than the Polar, and is finicky .... though not as bad once you get the right position to wear it

- Phone interface is better than PC (being old school I love to check my stats on the PC ..)

OKAY - I know my post does not relate to the model you asked.  But just maybe it gives you one or two more things to think about.

PS - Evobikes has a GOOD price on the Garmin 520 ....
