DHR2 on front

I modified the H D's im running at the rear by cutting the odly spaced knobs in the channel between middle and side knobs .... to clear the side " channel" ...and think they handle much better .

I modified them by cutting with a sharp pair if scissors.

Has or does anyone run a High Roller II up front? Thoughts compared to DHF and DHR? My LBS recommended those for the front - less rolling resistance but still plenty grip?

 

OP - I would stick with the Ardent 2.25 on the rear. Had it on my previous bike and loved it

Currently running highroller2 2.3 dh casing 3c upfront with 2.3 dhr 3c exo casing on the rear and I'm loving it! I like a burly rear tyre that grips and tracks like poo on a blanket

would also be interested on trying a butcher (such as on your new ride) on the front.

I have a 29" non protection you can have - much the same as a dh but transitions more smoothly onto the shoulders than the dhf - well... that's my impression anyway - pretty unscientific - couldn't find one with better sidewalls locally so went with the dhf - given hakahana is hell on sidewalls
