Hmm this is interesting.  One of my colleagues took her 720 in that wasn't working and got the same response (and a new 725X Big%20smile)

They are the best for service.

I broke the red button on my 720 when I had an accident and they replaced if for free.

Ja but their powermeterthingamajig is useless and we know that training with a hrm is old fashioned and you would do better to buy a pwermeterthingamajig  cough...spit Angry choke....

Nothing beats good service at the end of the day Clap

You guys are lucky you have had such great service. Im not saying thier service is bad, its just that I havnt been as lucky!

At the beginning of the year Amateurs 725 had a problem with the liquid crystal in her screen leaking. It was strange as she had never dropped it, or been in an accident or anything which would have caused something like that. Watch was about a year old, but we couldnt find the reciept anywhere to prove it. We sent it in, and they repaired it but for a fee of around R400 for the new screen and seals! No offer of a replacement or anything! Needless to say we found the reciept a few weeks back when we were cleaning up, and it was still in the warrantee period, but it was too late Confused

I also had a problem when I sent in a cracked cadence sensor a few months back. The casing was cracked, but the sensor still worked fine. Fee to repair was R380 and a new unit was R395! And if i didnt go ahead with the repair it was R50 to send it back to me. I had a spare so i just told them to toss it!

What i can say for certain is that my next purchase will be a Garmin, im sick of fiddling with sensors on my forks to pick up the speed and having problems with my HR readings. From what i have seen the Garmins look much simpler, and are more reliable.

Had the same with my 520, replaced the button without any questions.

The begining of the year the battery went flat so when i went to the Argus i took it with and handed it in thinking i would only collect it back in Jhb. Not only did they do the replacement there but also replaced my watch strap n/c.
