QR or thru axle on road disc

They are stiffer, more secure, and you know every time you remove and reinstall they are in the exact same allignment as before. If you go for a disc bike then thru axel is a no-brainer. Speaking as a 95% mtber, I have seen how much nicer thru axels are when compared to my old qr bikes, so I can only imagine this would also be true for road bikes.

As for a rim brake bike, I would still go for a thru axel give the choice, but QR would not stop me from making the purchase.

Definitely Thru-axle.

So hassle free. I got QR front and rear and it is so frustrating if you remove one of the wheels because if they don't line up, the brake pads rub and then you need to set them right each time.

Sometimes you are lucky and it lines up perfectly. I rarely remove my wheels because of this reason.
