Opinion on a new wetsuit purchase

I want to spoil myself with a new wetsuit for this years Iron Man. I currently have an Xterra Vector - I love the buoyancy of the suit but I'd like a little more flex in the shoulders.

I've been looking at these:

TYR Hurricane Category 3 Wetsuit - R6,750.00

https://tyr.co.za/product/hurricane-category-3-male-wetsuit/

Zone3 Aspire Wetsuit - R7000.00

https://zone3.co.za/product/mens-aspire-wetsuit/

Zone3 Vision Wetsuit - R5300.00

https://zone3.co.za/product/mens-vision-wetsuit/

Will aprreciate all input and advice. Thanks in advance!

Very similar to you-Had an Xterra Vendetta and it was great around the shoulders and flexible but a bitch to get off, would be stomping around to get the damn thing off. But Xterra is good. Now I am on a Zone 3 Aspire 10. My shoulders get a bit more tired but it is still a great suit-not so neutrally buoyant as Xterra but the best is the suit comes off in a flash, the first time I used it in a race and was used to the effort to take a suit off-it came off the ankles and wrists so quick I sidekicked the athlete next to me-very Ninja-  the suit came off like a dream.  But if I had to choose again I would probably go Xterra rather than Zone 3.

have you thought of a sleeveless wetsuit, after years of battling I bought a sleeveless Xterra, love it..no restriction on the shoulders, and less chafing as a result...I reckon I am faster and more comfortable in it.

ask Terry at Xterra for a demo, it may be exactly what you need. These are not popular an I am surporsed as to why not, perfect for open water swimming and legal.

Thanks this is the sort of feedback I was looking for!

Take a look at the Huub suits...

The Archimedes 2 is probably one of the best wetsuits out there. But there are other amazing suits in the range.

Give me a shout if you are keen

The Archimedes looks like a great suit but it is just too expensive
