Bicycle Insurance

A good afternoon to all the Hubbers!

I currently do not have insurance on my baie sukkel. I have seen a few crashes (actually, the result of said crashes), and it's making me nervous.

So, what is the most cost effective way to cover all my cycling equipment?

I know that CSA sanctioned events cover you up until a certain amount, but not certain if that is exclusively for medical expenses. I'm looking for COMPLETE cover that covers every possible scenario.

Thanks!

CSA only covers medical costs at sanctioned events, for members that are paid up - hopefully, if they've paid their premiums.

Get some comprehensive cover for your bike, kit and gear. As you have non standard wheels, you have to specify these, i.e. Powertap don't come standard with the bike. It must be at replacement value, and not what you paid, otherwise you end up being under-insured and they will only pay out a % of the value of the replacement parts.

Edit, medical aid will cover what you're insured for, i.e. hospital cover only, day2day expenses from your savings, etc.

Anything else is for your own pocket.
