k i know i'm new here but i really think we're spending our energy in the wrong place... i appreciate what cliff is doing is completely unacceptable, and it irritates the hell out of me as well, but the fact is he just represents the ignorance of a broader bunch of people!

surely our time and effort would be better spent trying to raise awareness for our cause.... awareness is so much more effective than retaliation.

the current brand house adverts regarding drinking and driving ( very graphic ones on tv, where the viewer sees the crashes from drivers perspective) spring to mind as very striking.

surely something like that, and radio adverts and newspaper adverts would be much more worthwile?

why spend our time fighting the medias ignorance when we can rather use it to benefit us....

couple of things...

what exactly happened in that crash? i mean, why is there a photo at the precise time of impact? its weird or am i missing something?

if this is going to prevent you from buying a road bike... maybe you should just sit in a box and never leave your home!

my short 11km commute to work is best done in "heavy" traffic. that way all the cars are standing still.

cliff is a dick. 5fm is ***. my secret fantasy is to punch him in the face. i'm sure i share that with many people.

It was a race so there would have been people with cameras, the driver veered across the road and into the oncoming bunch so it was just a case of being in the right place at the right time for the photo.

Unfortunately the wrong place for the poor cyclists.

i think the news item i originally found this story on said it was a city official who took the picture.

They had the picture and some TV footage of the aftermath on Morning Live. Scary stuff!

I wonder how the Mexican law will deal with this guy.

hope their prisons are stricter than this

A drug trafficker managed to continue his illicit operations while living the high life behind bars in a Brazilian prison until guards discovered his ill-gotten gains this week, the newspaper O Globo reported Tuesday.
Gilson Lino da Silva had 280,000 reals (172,000 dollars) of cash stashed under the mattress of the king-sized bed he had in his cell, which was also decked out with two refigerators, a flat-screen television with DVD player and a personal gym set-up.

How does he get all that into his cell without the prison guards noticing? Oh, sorry, almost forgot. Hope they're on the hunt for the prison guards on his payroll too!

I'm committed to a life behind bars too. Handlebars! Tongue

Isn't the driver an American citizen though? You may very well find that Mexican law has no say...

Campos (the driver) said he is a U.S. citizen living in Brownsville. The USA Consulate could not immediately confirm that.

From several sites...

They also say the federales have charged him with murder, but like I said, the yanks look after their own...
