Not sure where you are based but Thaba Trails south of Joburg on Klipriver road are a good start that's for sure!

You can find them on Facebook and on Google Maps.

Depends on where in Jhb you are based, but there's some brilliant riding!!

1) The Spruit, free but comes with it's own issues;

2) Northern Farms,

3) Thaba trails;

4) PWC park;

MTB covers such a wide variety of riding that you need to specify what kind of riding you looking for.

Are you looking for ascending, descending , technical terrain, features, distance???

But Thaba Trails does cover a lot of these anyway - just pick the right trails.

Avianto Trails - connect via Crade MTB trails - Cradle Moon

That should also give you some serious mileage if you do all the trails, and you wont need to do any tar riding.

60km+

Hi all!

Where does one do proper mtb training in and around JHB??

Depends on what you mean and want from proper training...

Technical rocky...kingskloof ride it twice..

Hills and climbing... the one and only breedts nek.

Hands down some of the harder rides.

cradle loop to kingskloof, around kingskloof and back makes a great 65km ride.

Lemme know when you going and il meet u there....
