Sorry, but I had a jol, stopped everywhere.

There were unadvertised wine at the second stop as well... and banana bread. Trust me, I had some. It was good.

Also coke, water, powerade, jelly sweets, peanuts & raisins, fruit, squirt...  what more is required? Oh, and chocolate at (at least) one point.

That second checkpoint was awesome!  I had to remind myself not to eat all the calories I'm burning and then some

We were with the latter riders on the day.. so likely it was just a stock issue.. no biggy.

I think my awareness was more heightened by the lack of portable loos as my female fellow cycling needed to pee.. eventually she strip down and pee'd in the bush.

Lesson learn - no more bibs on the trails.

Bibs do complicate things quiet a lot

But some articles on the matter...

"Surprisingly, most of the pros with whom we spoke said that their method of peeing on the bike was to stop, drop, and go. They mentioned full-zip jerseys with stunning frequency. Others swear by the up-and-over method: pulling one leg of your shorts as high as possible, then shifting the chamois to the side. And a few riders discussed the finer points of simply “letting it go” while riding. Don’t try that on your shop ride, please."

Possibly because I ate yours before you got there!

I found the water points to be very well stocked and manned for an event of this size.  The oranges and banana bread were delicious.

I didn't need the toilet and neither did my wife so didn't actually notice that issue.  I do usually carry some "white gold" on me just in case I need to go in nature.

What's wrong with leaves?  :whistling:
