Chances are you won't go any faster unless you are at a level where you need a few extra seconds to win. Having said that if you want it and can afford it then why the hell not! Looks like me and you are in the same weight range, ..so dont worry about weight, stiffness etc worry about getting stronger legs to push it all up the mountain! I ride a entry level GT and just put on better wheels and hubs and better brakes and I go past a lot of Carbon, full susp mega buck bikes out there Dont spend too much or as Eddie Mercx said " Dont upgrade your bike, ride more upgrades Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
