LOLClap

Listen, I'm not about to spend the bucks, even though I have it, on something that won't perform as the hype states. If I pay for it, it best deliver.

I doubt there are many mountain bikers that could really 'feel' the difference in ride between a carbon and alu frame, me included ......

Chances are you won't go any faster unless you are at a level where you need a few extra seconds to win. Having said that if you want it and can afford it then why the hell not!

Can only comment that my laaitie (ok so he weighs around 50kg's) has ridden 1 for 2 years, fallen plenty and it still looks great with no cracks but then again it is a Specialized Big%20smile

I would add another 2.5k and get an alu BMC Fourstroke 3 full suspension frame.. That thing is sh*t hot.

Don't like full suspension much.

Looks like me and you are in the same weight range, ..so dont worry about weight, stiffness etc worry about getting stronger legs to push it all up the mountain! I ride a entry level GT and just put on better wheels and hubs and better brakes and I go past a lot of Carbon, full susp mega buck bikes out thereLOL Dont spend too much or as Eddie Mercx said " Dont upgrade your bike, ride more upgradesSmile
