C02 inflator carrier

So that might sound like a stupid question.

 

I have one of those C02 holder that you strap on the frame. Now the inflator screws on one of the cartridge but here my issue. Do you screw it on totally, and if so do you loos the air from the cartridge over time or do you loosely screw it on?

 

I did the later but lost the inflator while riding so either way that is not good...

Most guys just keep it in their jersey pockets. Screwing it onto the cartridge will cause the Co2 to leak out.

I got this recently,works nice, just put the adapter in the middle of the tube. My canisters are permy attached.

I got something similar to this from giant - attached to bottle cage and the CO2 bottle operates though it - mine only carries one bottle but in neoprene - it's really small light and doesn't rattle

I have this one. and I've seem many using a similar system hence the question. The issue is the vibrations when on a mtb. Maybe I'll just use some electrical tape to secure it

Mines not exactly this one - it's got a beer cooler type cover over the bottle - I've sold cars because I could find a rattle - the one I have is dead quiet and secure - will post a pic tomorrow - on another bike I have an a co2 bottle holder that attaches to the bottle cage below my seat - there's a few options as long as they don't rattle
