VAR takes a second to look at Nunez's potential red card.

He scores.

Then he gets the softest penalty you'll see all season and VAR didn't even bother to review it.

Awarded a penalty every 1.3 matches.  Oppo red card every 1.6 matches.  uXG the highest in the league - unexpected goals 2.83.

Very strong case for Livarpool's player of the season:

PS.  And I haven't even mentioned van Dijk getting away with 5 nailed-on red card offences.

A packed 46K Nelson Mandela Bay stadium for the Kaiser Chiefs vs Stellies FC Nedbank Cup quarterfinal yesterday.  My first work assignment, since getting back up to clinical practice speed, after retiring at 50 ten years ago was to run the stadium med centre ops (not the on-field response).

We saw at least a fifth of all spectators barging their way in from near the end of the first half through two gate-busting stampedes twenty minutes apart despite a large SAPS presence.  Bust heads and faces, bust shoulders, bust limbs, dozens of cases of teargas exposure and respiratory difficulty, thankfully no deaths.  That was nuts.  How is this still happening?

I'm surprised.... that you are surprised!

I hope for your sake and sanity, that you get used to it, and soon...

Good luck Bud. Stay strong.

I still remember watching the Ellis park game. 😪

1 - 4 in a penalty shootout.  You'd think Livarpool could do penalties after being gifted so many in the premier league.

Salah learning tonight that diving has fewer rewards with UEFA referees, they're not as easily persuaded as PGMOL are by the Anfield fans.

PSG didn’t win. Liverpool lost.

thought Liverpool would be champs this year.

I saw the game as fairly even, with Allison having to pull off more good saves.

And credit to Liverpool, this was only their 2nd loss at Anfield after Forest, all season.

PSG we're not convincing in victory, by any means. Donnarumma was called upon a few occasions.

I agree that Salah's antics were desperate, and should have resulted in a yellow.

£2Bn?  How do they make that work?  Would be interested to see if they can even fill that proposed 25 000 increased capacity.

Let's congratulate them on having an idea.

Seems the new senior leadership have already admitted to having made a couple of mistakes during their short stint, so I think they deserve some credit. Let them continue waffling.... because their fans are patient.... hahahaaa

Oh, and new stadium ideas are nothing new... they generally take 10 to 15 or more years to come to fruition, if ever.

And have you ever seen a mega project come in on budget....

Thierry Henry rejected Salah as a Ballon d'Or top candidate, while also referring to Salah's 11 penalties.

A delicious irony then, that the team awarded the most penalties in any of the European leagues this season, should last night lose a Round of 16 tie through penalties.
