End of the road for the goooners….pity.

however, miracles have known to happen in champions league.

You called it.  Arsenal outplayed across the pitch, they looked stunted, nervous even.

I'd still give them a chance though... much as I hate to say that.

Miguel Delaney has pointed out that in the 64 years of the Champions League, there have been six occasions that a team winning an away first leg went on to lose and be eliminated.  PSG have done that three times since 2019.

This is a different PSG, though.  Just a couple of weeks ago they resisted an Aston Villa scoring-first comeback.

I see a lot of criticism for the freekicks and yellow cards awarded against Arsenal for PSG dives.  The very early Saka yellow card was crazy, Saka didn't touch the dude.  Alan Shearer was even harsher about the early Trossard yellow card.  Later, Donnarumma's collapse was diabolical.  When Rice curled his corner kick in, there was no Arsenal player next to Donnarumma when he went down as if he'd been shot in the head.  Instant freekick, but the ref couldn't possibly have seen any offence.  Must be unsettling for any team.  Still, PSG bossed it.

The free kicks and yellow cards is also something that Premier League clubs get away in England, and then struggle to adapt to the way the game is ref'd in European competition. We see this in the National team matches as well.

Thank you Justin, would have never believed this at the beginning of the season, and with just one summer signing.

I doubt that anyone else but Arne Slot thought it possible.  It's reported that, after the first training session, he told the squad that they can win the league THIS SEASON.  It's an extraordinary achievement, and Slot's just getting started.  Scary stuff.

Phew!!! Had to catch my breath there.

What a first half that was! Barca vs Inter... I don't suppose 2nd half will be half as frenetic. Barca should have at least 4 by now... Inter on the backfoot, not necessarily a bad thing.

Marcus Thuram with a left backheel to score after 29 seconds! Inter ho 2-0 with some brilliant play, after being under the whip by Barca.

Lamine Yamal is making Dimarco look silly. Also youngest goalscorer in CL semis - previously Kylian Mbappe.

Raphinha becomes the 1st player to reach 20 goal involvements in a single CL season.

Phenomenal.

Ready! Set! 2nd half underway....

It's 2-2

FFS! Inter score after 64mins; Barca equalise 2mins later! Woah! I can't see this game ending 3-3.

Dumfries is the 1st Dutch player to score both score and assist in a semi of CL since Wesley Schneider - also for Inter against Barca.

Mkhitharyan had a goal ruled out for offside. Unlucky.

Yamal stuck the underside of the crossbar.

I can't believe this ended 3-3. All to play for.

What a match.  Inter Milan two up within 20 minutes in Barcelona.  Then that kid Lamine Yamal drives a ball from nowhere diagonally past defenders into the centre of the box and coolly blasts it into the left side netting.  And that was just the first quarter.  Skills and entertainment +++.

Next week's second legs are tasty prospects.

Tonight’s game is going to be eagerly watched I suspect. 😂

Both games. Me thinks.

I'm finding it strange that ManU are in 14th, still in the Europa League semifinal, and there's not much about how poor their season has been...

Of course Spurs are 2 points and 2 places lower, and also in the Europa semis, but firmly in the limelight...

Enjoyed Big Ange's post match chat.  He needs to work more and also smarter to compete in the top half of the league.  He'd do well to spend less time reading and responding to his press and others' opinions on social media.

I would've preferred to go to Bodo with a 3-0 scoreline. But, I'm sure the lads will be okay. An "advantage" may also come from Ange having taken Celtic there, on their way you being knocked out.

ManU were excellent in Bilbao tonight. Well done.

As a side note... If Spurs and ManU do meet in the final, it will be the 4th meeting this season and let's hope we can make it 4-0. COYS
