Deserved win for Arsenal..they played some really pretty football..carved United up for most of the game.. Lacazette put in one hell of a shift while Ozil conducting play beautifully. Defense was solid.. good times for Arsenal fans after that game.

You can definitely see the influence that Arteta has had in the team. For me Ozil, Luiz and Pepe all had their best games in an Arsenal shirt last night. When the points start coming in then the confidence will grow and many of the chances that we missed last night will start to find the back of the net.The statum was buzzing like the old Highbury. While there is a lot of work still to be done wrt fitness as the players ran out of steam in the 2nd half, I must say I'm loving this Arteta Ball we are busy playing.

I see Ozil ran a total of 11.5km last night.

He was so good on the ball and off the ball they were fantastic.. really good to see an Arsenal team play with confidence.

That were a penalty

I was in a pub and it was fairly loud, coupled with my tinnitus I could not really hear what the commentators were saying. How was that not a penalty I don't know, was a clear handball imho.

Like the other evening when van dijk hand balled( I thought) and that was not given either.

I guess ultimately my understanding of the hand ball laws is at fault here.

And Mourinho, just a crass individual at the end of the day. Completely uncalled for and his mockery of the saints keepr coach should see him get a nice fine. Actually brings the SPurs football club into disrepute. Same as fans racially abusing players.

The handball rule is pretty easy to understand.. was the defenders hand in an unnatural position, did it come of his foot etc first then up against the arm/shoulder.. and then of course intent..did the defender try and move his arm out of the way.

So if you can tick the boxes then not a handball by defender.

Of course in attacking play the ball may not touch the arm during build up play to a goal..actually that liverpool goal should not have stood according to the rules.

As for Mou well that is how we've come to know him.. also pay attention to his personal grooming..when the team is under pressure or playing poorly he appears more sloppy in appearance than when they are in a positive spell... this is something I have picked up over the years..

As this fill the gap transfer season is in full swing.. Dortmund have made some good moves.. Juve have youngster Kulusevski from Atalanta doing his medical today.

Rumour that Eriksen has a going rate of 20m..of course he can also start speaking to clubs as his contract runs out at the end of the season..so eiter the 20m now or nothing in a few moths time.

20 million is good value i reckon.

Would depend on his wage demands.. a club could offer him a higher wage (think read PSG are willing to pay 12m p/a) but only sign him for free in the off season..and not have to pay a purchase fee.... this is how Juve do a lot of business [emoji23]

Inter will probably try and secure him in Jan seeing as Conte is moaning about the depth of his squad.[emoji23]

It hit the top of his shoulder and chest, according to the rules that is not handball.

Did you miss the announcement last week.[emoji6]

Evidently, just saw this in the paper this morning. 6 months free agent with possible year extension.

The man pops up everywhere.

Yeah.. he brings some attention with him and look arrogance aside..he will be a good mentor for the young Milan squad both on the field and in the dressing room. As I stated last week..he will bring much needed confidence to the team.

Seems there may be changes to VAR and offside.. it will not overule a goal if it is too close to tell (cm kind of stuff)

Sounds like a bit of common sense finally. As much as I think VAR is a welcome addition to decision-making in football, I also think that on-field referees should be the decision-makers and not VAR’s.

That being said, it’s going to be interesting to see how a line gets drawn in deciding how accurate or or fine the margins will be...
