Hi all

I want to send my bike to Windhoek.

Just got a quote from downwing international to ship the bike and it is crazy to say the least. I can give some petrol money should that be a requirement, or if you know of a cheaper option.

When can you help?

I know someone leaving end of this week.

But I'll first have to know them in matter and if they have space for it.

I can find out tonight.

Just out of interest?

When and how will you be coming up to Windhoek?

Driving or by Air?

I have taken my bikes on CPT  to WHK flights with no problem.

Try time-freight. You can do a free online quotation.

All the cross border shipping guys wants a  invoice with the item's worth on  it, sender must have an export  number and recipient must have a import VAT number.

Its a whole world of k%k  and then they want like 3K to ship it on top of that.

I once tired to ship a friends old Thule bike rack back to him after a vacation.

I could not get the thing out of the country.

They kept sending it back asking for the invoice, no matter how much I told then it is not a sale, it someones  own property I'm sending back to them and is old.

You could see it was very old en dirty.

There was no way.

Can't help with a lift but whenever we go over the border to Namibia and take a bike or anything big they can complain about I just write up an written invoice with Vat nr on it with your details dated a few years back. Thats when you go on holiday and have a south african car reg. My family lives there and when they take something over they do the same just make the invoice purchase amount very low as you are going to pay Vat on it.

Good morning

Hi I tried,  but Sorry, they say they can't do.

They are already leaving stuff as the Suzuki  hatchback is quite small.
