Very nice build. And nice bike. Do keep the pictures coming

I do find it interesting that the newer bikes are not much lighter than previous generation bikes. My stock standard Cervelo from 2006 (and not nearly the top-of-the-line version) weight 7.1kg.

Thanks Pietas I will take pics of the bike being built and post.  I dont think that my bike is particularly light in comparison to lots of other high end bikes on the market at the moment however it is an aero disc bike and I know for example that a F10 Pinarrello disc with Zipp wheels is 7.6kg so for what it is compared to other like for like bikes it is light.

Are you not adding a power meter for the sake of saving weight?

This is a dream build!

Yup, I figured that I have the Garmin Vector 3 pedals so if I want to know my power I can simply change the pedals.  I ride rightly or wrongly so to my heart rate not my power.  So based on this I chose THM Crank over the S Works Power Crank for about the same money.

That's because there is a munimum weight limit. Sure, there are super bikes that come in way below the legal limit, but the Venge is a bike made for the pro's, so it has to weigh at least 6.8kg.

Yes, there are still legal bikes that weigh less than that, but the are generally smaller in size or pure lightweight bikes. In many cases aero advantages are much more important than weight.

But that's just my opinion.

did the whole equal the sum of the parts?!

you do have a spreadsheet for this, don't you?!

I will only know tomorrow how it finally finished up, but yes I have a spreadsheet

Two of my least favourite brands in Spaz and Swiss Cheese wheels, but damn it's coming together nicely. Congrats on your stealth bomber. I wish you many happy, rapid miles and smiles.
