There's a delay on the CLX50 wheels so he's building the bike using his DT Swiss ERC1400 wheels

Hey Furbz

Fantastic just what I wanted to see thanks mate. Gave me an idea as well I will get a scale and weigh every component and post prior to the build. It will be interesting to see if the sum of the parts equals the whole at the end. Just btw why don't you run timeless?

What kind of a weight weenie doesn't already have a scale?

Have you been going on "feel" for now - that is next level bru!

Is that a 1x crankset?

If so, why?

Edit: sorry just wanted to say the bike looks good !!

Thanks very much. Its not a 1x crankset i just couldnt take the pain of looking at all the boxes of toys anymore. I had to put some key bits together just to get an idea what the bike would look like. So just loosley put the big chainring on

I managed to get one and have weighed all the components other than the derrailuers and the wheels which i have weighed but have an ultegra cassette and rotors. I can post the pics if there is interest. The current total weight without pedals is 6837g - the assumptions being that i lose 50g when they cut the stearer and that they use half the bar tape due.

For a disc bike with 28mm tyres thats not bad i think. The CLX50 should take a further 100g off that total.

Very nice build. And nice bike. Do keep the pictures coming

I do find it interesting that the newer bikes are not much lighter than previous generation bikes. My stock standard Cervelo from 2006 (and not nearly the top-of-the-line version) weight 7.1kg.

yep, but incremental changes on these bikes will leave you shocked at how much better they feel to ride
