Strava not recording

My phone does a wonderful job...  it's not like I'm doing the Cape Epic

 

Might be worth mentioning that uploading rides on Strava is not the only comparative benefit of using a dedicated GPS device when cycling.

Make sure phones are not on any power saving mode.

Agreed. Power saving mode also stopped Strava for me. Switched it off and no further issues.

Is anyone else's strava not recording correctly?

 

I have two phones, two different service providers.

GPS signal good, cellphone coverage good.

 

I tried enabling and disabling auto pause

 

Strava starts recording, then stops after about a minute or two. 

 

Average speed in cycling is bonkers, as well as lap times in running.

 

The attached screenshot was taken after a 30km, 17km/h, +- 1hr 45m ride at cowhouse. 

 

 

I have had the same issue even after upgrading Strava..

I use Strava on my mobile phone (before the power saving setting became an issue). My other half uses a lezyne gps.

I can believe you.

 

Wherever I go for a training ride, I use Strava on my phone as well as my Cateye Wireless. The kilometers that show on Strava at the end of the ride are just a few meters out compared to what the bike computer shows.
