MarcL Posted November 3, 2018 Share I am having to replace my brakes on my mountain bike and have deceided to go with SRAM.My quandary is between Guide Ulitmate and Level Ultimate. Can I please have some advice!! ThanksHiIf you over 85kg, I would go with the Guides... More stopping power. And don't be afraid to upsize your rotors. I changed from XTR to Guid Ult. with 180mm rotors and never looked back, but I'm 95kg and the XTR overheated.Hope that helps?

DieselnDust Posted November 3, 2018 Share The Guide is a more powerful and a little heavier. The lever shape is also different between Guide and Level.Guide is 4 pistonLevel is two piston. Of the two the Guide has better modulation across a widerperformance envelope. Unless the weight saving is important to you, get the Guide brakes
