Numb quad, what to do?

Recommended Posts

A week ago my left quad went a bit numb on the surface over about 50% of the outside skin. Its not completely numb but definitely a bit numb. I am not experiencing any pins and needles or power loss or anything so I don't think there is any issue with blood flow. I have a big scar down that leg from a motorcycle crash 20 years ago + I injured the muscle on the inside a couple of weeks ago (only impacts walking, not cycling) but this started quite a bit after that.

Any ideas? Should I wait a while and see if it goes away or go see someone?

Likely minor nerve damage, see a surgeon. Could be thoracic spine related. Slipped disc worst case. Slight nerve impingement from the muscle injury also possible.
