shaper Posted January 14, 2019 Share Well at least they saved money on ideas on the paint job and just reversed what was done on Cav's Cervelo from 2017
J Wakefield Posted January 14, 2019 Share Riders ask for Alu bikes fairly often for certain races or simply the season. Tom Boonen would get a Alu bike made up for certain classics from Spez way back then already. Different materials react and feel different and riders have preference. Eldron Posted January 14, 2019 Share The race was only 1 hour + 1 lap. It's worth dealing with alus harshness in the race in return for it's rigidity in the sprint.
lechatnoir Posted January 14, 2019 Share PR stunt to generate some hype for alloy bikes since Jap and Chinese manufacturing costs are sky-rockting this year and bike prices will follow suit and its not like carbon is getting cheaper ...maybe thats just me Of course it was a PR stunt... that's what bike manufacturers do... they write the brand on the frame and get pros to ride them in races... i think that frame looks stunning, and in that paint job, it's even nicer. Bman Posted January 14, 2019 Share Sagan took second in the sprint. Would he have won on a carbon frame Na, he would have won had he shaved the tash before
