Nah.. It should just be a bike that everyone rides. Oh... And seeing a Fortuner is an off road vehicle, the bike should at least be a full suspension.

Not necessarily, the 4x4 could be full suspension, while the 4x2 could be a hard tail, gravel/cross bike.

It is not about the bike. There have been many sub 3's done on MTB's with or without knoblies.

Ten grand per hour - spend 20 on some vintage Italian steel, take 5 hours, better bang for your buck. Plus you won't feel like you've wasted your money if you do 301.
