Poor service CWC

Actually, that's why I asked you. If I assumed anything, I would have just said it straight.

Nevertheless, I just checked my own stats, my current drivetrain is on just over 2000km and its on its way out, so you're 1800 is sort of decent. I was on my second set of pivots before I cracked the frame (3years old, 3000km,) second BB, original headset and second seatpost. Many many brake pads and tyres.

So maybe the shop wasn't out of line when they recommended new bearings and drivetrain components. It's pretty easy to spot a tired cassette and chain ring.

They probably didn't manage your expectations well, and maybe they reacted wrong. But I doubt that you are blameless in this.

Sometimes moving on from a shop is the right thing to do, and sometimes closing a client's account is the right thing to do. To be honest, I reckon you and cycle lab will both be better off if you don't go back to them. It isn't personal, it's business.

What do you wash your bike with ? Thinners???

Edit: Please tell me how to spot a tired cassette?

I call BS on this.

You can not tell by looking at a cassette if it is going to slip when you put a new chain on. Unless it is THAT worn. If it is then post the pics please.

Also, creaking noise does = NEW Bearings

Just to be clear, i never said it is not possible. My problem apart from the bad service, time taken and multiple missed dates was that i was “sold” told to replace on the fly and had to multiple times ask please just do the checks and then tell me what is to be replaced, as in my mind you cant just look at a bike from a angle... and as i have told the ho guy had they phoned me next day saying hey guy, drive train shot.. needs replacement i would have probly just said ok. But i felt i was just a target in a quota of sales.

Will post em now

So no one is going to rip the "chain sag" line apart?

I really have never ever ever seen a sagging chain on a geared bike...

Here is the sag after i got the bike back with new parts...

I see nothing wrong with the chainring, if it does not slip with a new chain then no reason to replace

I am not sure what they are on about with chain sag???That will happen on a brand new bike as the crank is pulled backwards

Nothing wrong with this chainring other than the anodising has been worn off which is normal. Its worn once the thin ridges on the outside of the tooth profile has been worn away.

Nothing wrong with this cassette either. Its still well within tolerance. You do use your 47 allot though. Maybe a smaller chain ring is required?

this is normal too. the deraileur takes up the sag. Chain slap is real that's why there's a protector on the frame.

Do you have pics of the old parts other than the chainring
