Budget cable and housing cutter

I need a cable and housing cutter that won't break the bank.

I'm hoping to spend something less than R300.

Can anyone suggest a shop that has a cable cutter that's not Park Tool?

I'm based in Gauteng and need it before Sunday, so can't ship from anywhere.

Also wondering if getting something from a hardware store is good enough, or if that's too cheapskate.

Hi Craig.

We have this Cable & Housing Cutter available.

Where about are you in Gauteng? We might be able to assist.

I don't cut many cables. But a dremel with a cut off wheel does a reasonable job on the outers.

Yip this is the way to go

Don't try to save money on tools. You just buy twice at the end of the day.

Not only that but cheap tools don't cut the housing ends straight. Then you nee to do a lot of rework to get the ends straight. Curled or non square ends lead to housing compression that results in poor shifting
