Hi all I would like to know what you guys think of the 2019 merida one twenty xt edition. I would like to use the bike as a trail bike and also for stage races or long 100km rides. Will this bike work for that?

Hi Hanno I've bought myself the 120 800 and so far enjoying it alot. Ive not been out for many rides but can attest to it as being a great all rounder. You may decide to get a different set of tires to accommodate longer distances but for an overall package Merida have speced this range really well for what price is being offered at bike shops. Hope this helps further your research. Cheers

Hi thank you very much it really helps as I really like the bike and the parts spec is the same as on my hardtail now. And the price is in my budget.

If I had to replace my Giant Anthem 29er right now it would be with this Merida 120 -600 for R25000

Floating rear Shock,

NX 12 speed,

Deore (MT-500) brakes,

dropper post,

Boost Spacing (can accomodate 650+ tyres)

Only down side is the 5 Year frame warranty - Then Anthem has a Life time ( And i have already replaced the once)

Not sure on the Merida bikes but 120mm is a nice amount of travel to race with and to have fun with  Will be a bit more comfortable over the longer rides.

Merida offer a lifetime warranty on their frames. This is the reason I went for this bike.
