Raf Posted June 17, 2019 Share I had a look at this recently. Couldn't really source 12mm end caps locally.I think we might be a little ahead of the pack looking out for 12mm all round Wolfie
BaGearA Posted June 17, 2019 Share They're fairly simple, if you ha e a buddy that works in mechanical engineering ask him to make some caps for you The final width HAS be 142mm, then buy him A case of the finest beer you can find Wolfie
BaGearA Posted June 17, 2019 Share https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/364089-hope-pro4pro2-evo-bolt-thru-axle/ or buy this and save yourself all the hassle You'll also have A spare inner axle Wolfie
Raf Posted June 18, 2019 Share That might be 15mm if not mistaken Ps... Converting from QR is not as simple as from TA to QR unfortunately Edited June 18, 2019 by Raf
MORNE Posted June 18, 2019 Share i know CWC has apack or two hanging on the shelf too....there by the wall close to the workshop counter on your right. https://www.evobikes.co.za/hope-pro-2-evo-rear-x12-thru-conversion-kit.html PS: the silver one goes on the cassette side (no instructions) Edited June 18, 2019 by morneS555
CdT85 Posted June 18, 2019 Share https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/364089-hope-pro4pro2-evo-bolt-thru-axle/ or buy this and save yourself all the hassle You'll also have A spare inner axle That setup is a mate of mine's. We used it to stiffen his 135mm qr rear triangle on his Antherm. Essentially turned his Hope Pro 4 into a bolt-on hub like on a dirt jumper (135x10).The OLD will still be 135 with this setup installed and it is bolted on with 10mm Capscrews. Unfortunately it wont solve the OP's issue to convert his hub to 142x12

MORNE Posted June 18, 2019 Share is the pro2 different from the pro4? i have converted a pro4 QR to 12mm using these before. the QR rear cap pulls out and these just slot in where they went. Edited June 18, 2019 by morneS555

MORNE Posted June 18, 2019 Share yea the 135QR/142-12 TA rear hub is the same thing...the end cap gives you the extra 7mmi know this because the label on the box of that rear hub read 135QR/142-12 the op is asking for through axel conversion...not oldschool 12mm bolt on as far as i can read. again...i bought one of these in purple last year...in 135mm QR guise for a 135QR frame....and then bought the 12mm TA cups to make it fir in a 142 TA frame too...and it worked fine. There is no 15mm REAR cup anyway afaik edit: the red uses the same "hub base" if that makes sense...the blue needs another inner axel as far as i know.again..this is for the pro4 but i know the 12mm TA caps for the pro2/4 are the same thing...so something tells me the QR cups will be too. Jewbacca Posted June 18, 2019 Share hahahaha End caps. No idea what Raf is on about. There ARE also 12mm end caps for the front hub so you can run them on gravel/disc road bikes. One is black, one is silver. I have used QR, 10mm 135 bolt thru, 10mm 135 bolt in (different axle), 135 and142x12 and a boostinator end cap all for the same pro II evo hub. International trade bring them in and I'm sure guys on here have some lying around. I shipped some QR caps to Eddy the other day so he probably has some 142x12 in his workshop.
