Allrounder Posted July 24, 2019 Share Do you want those type rack, because you can get the bike up and out the way?Have you considered anything else?Vertical storage maybe or what about https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/art-of-storage-rosetti-single-bike-rack/4483 https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/art-of-storage-pablo-folding-2-bike-rack/4483 https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/donatello-leaning-2-bike-rack/4483 if you have a towbar rack, have you considered installing a towball on the wall and then using the rack for storage? Just some ideas, not sure if they are options. Thanks for the links eddy, but the space between the car and wall is the problem. I should actually have a look at proper car tow-bar rack! SpecialK Posted July 24, 2019 Share I used the Wille Honde brackets to mount both my bikes, easy enough to install on your own (even though it would have been nice to have a second person to help with getting the bikes level for position of the front wheel). System works really well, IMO. I just added a small piece of felt to each of the pedal brackets to prevent any scratching or scuffing. Wall is getting a few tyre scuff marks but nothing major. You can get them direct from Extreme Lights:https://www.extremelights.co.za/collections/cycle-lights-accessories-1/products/wille-honde-bicycle-wall-mount-bracket Edited July 24, 2019 by SpecialK Dirt Tracker, Allrounder and Vetplant
Allrounder Posted July 24, 2019 Share I went this route. If I had the space, I would have done this.

Allrounder Posted July 24, 2019 Share I have the ones that Gelmar sells, got 4 of them in the garage. There are two things I dont like about them.1. They stick out a little far, this is good for getting the bikes up but a bit of a pain working around them once they are up.2. If you have external cable routing the cradle tends to want to pinch it between the top tube and the cradle which can cause scratching. They do sit far out. Hanged the not in use road bike as high as I could, but can not find a space against the wall where the 2 other bikes wont be in the way. The garage is pretty full at this stage with 2 cars, BMW GS, gas braai, generator, freezer, washing machine, lawnmower and the usual other stuff that is in a garage on the shelving. bertusras Posted July 24, 2019 Share I use the Levitate racks for my bikes in the garage. All of them mounted as high as I'm able to lift the bikes and still reach the little loop hook, and they are well out of the way of the car and me moving around in the garage. Eugéne Alberts Posted July 24, 2019 Share That's cool. Did you fix a towbar to the wall or how did you mount it?
