Frosty Posted October 28, 2019 Share Last person over the line in just over 6 hours, that's vasbyt. The amazing thing is he cycled to the venue from home (additional 12Km), and was planning to ride home after the ride... for his reward, he got a hamper of nuts, chocolates, champagne and much more, as well as enjoyed a beer with us (Germiston Wheelers) in the car park, while waiting for his lift to arrive. The guy in second last place, who I rode with from 5Km out (also received a hamper), had sufficient water, and food but had some nice things to say about his rear being sore. scotty, Dexter-morgan, lurkerza and 2 others
Frosty Posted October 29, 2019 Share We're contemplating adding an 85Km distance to our event, and you can vote Yes/No in the poll on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https://www.facebook.com/germistonwheel/posts/10157061724745345
AndrewMo Posted October 29, 2019 Share I'm not on WasteoftimeIhavebetterthingstobedoingBook but you're welcome to add me to the list of people who say yes. One condition though, you have to promise that you and mother nature discuss the conditions for the day and come to some sort of agreement about there being zero wind. To all those very tired looking people who enjoyed being pulled along by me on the last 10km only to all jump past right before the line, you're welcome. Me neither, but we have a large target market that are, and it forces me to (reluctantly) log on. I’ll add it to Twitter @germistonwheel and Instagram @germistonclassic to add addition options to respond.
