Yip Hr/_BBi you guys are on the right track. Me and Lil' Ben went out yesterday (he's 18' date=' been riding since he was 13) and he still gives me a high five when I manage to clear a technical bit that I couldn't before, find a slightly faster line or am just behind him down a quick rocky down![/quote']

You have set a good example to follow.

great thing about the kids being out and about at the races is the amount of encouragement complete strangers give them. at one provincial' date=' a vet rider gave my youngest son his medal after breandan finished outside the medal positions. that old dude's got a friend for life.

Hah! Some of you who rode Ride for Sight this year were given your medals by my son... I had him standing on the medal table for a bit handing them out... he loved it...

Herewith a picture of me and my boys before the 94.7 last year. I am very proud of them. We battle to get a distance that keeps everybody happy as the youngest is 6 and the oldest 10. And yes, their mother is taking the picture and also did the ride.20080624_085134_Kids_947_MTB_Ra.jpg

bbi, i've kinda outgrown the whole logwood thing, but the kids love it when they go there. it's nice and self-contained, which means you can leave them up to their own devices for hours on end.

Personally, I have never enjoyed it, I am more of a endurance/XC type rider, but the kids love it.
