ok..so last night I was looking over the nice new shiny bits and pieces on the Racer X, coming to grips with some technological issues.

Now, after it takes you for a ride Wink you want to clean it, so here is the qstn

Water washes the main dirt off, but do you just rub down the discs with a cloth to keep them clean?

Do you need to use any lubricant/oil on the break levers and shifters after you have washed?

Also the shock arms, they will get dirty, but since they have a slight oil layer on them do you just wipe them too? Or do you need to use a slightly oiled cloth?

Ask Johan Bornman... Scrub the entire frame and drivetrain with petrol and pour the used petrol on your garden or into the sea... But you must use 95 octane LRP...

Soften the mud with water and get most of the mud off with the hose pipe. Use some soapie water and was it like you would your car. With an old kitchen brush you can clean the cassette. Let it dry in the sun or dry frame with a rag. Do not bother drying the rotors and NEVER touch them with your fingers or get oil near them. Don't bother with oiling the any brake parts or fork legs. Lube your chain and MAYBE a drop of oil on your pulleys, derailleurs.

Hey Slowbee

Wanna come ride on the Helderberg tomorrow after work? Those tracks will be a great testing ground for your newly lubed-up discs!

Seriously though, lemme know if you keen for 5pm.
