ConfusedMarius, as long as you leave those wheels at home come DC. Nothing wrong with the wheels, but tubbies. Looking for problems when you are not a pro...................

Why didn't you by the clinchers????????

I have to agree with Mud Dee, way nicer than the Six six what ever make.. ha ha ha

All the rest can bite me as per usual! Norris you have a choice, you can either buy them from Chris CWC Cycles or from Worcester Wheelers for Round about R12k.

Does that PitStop stuff work BikeMax? what kinda holes can it seal?? will it seal Fatties Pie-Hole aswell, I'll pay extra for that!LOL

Not a change SmallRebel, DC will never see my tubbies!! and they don't make them in clinchers as far as I know. But like BikeMax said, you do get sealent for them. Just need to find out how well it works.

No reason at all not to ride them at DC as long as he has support in case of a flat - in termsof performance it will help significantly.

Tubs - no problems at all, better ride, less punctures and most important of all to a carbon rim buyer - way less weight in the rim. Not much point in buying expensive deep section rims and then only riding them on flat races cos they weigh 1600+ gms

With a bit of care and attention tubs are not a problem.

It works very well (so far) and will seal most punctures on a permanent basis so you can keep using the tub.

As for Fatty's pie hole - only pies can do that (lots) LOL

thx BikeMax, will get some sealent then. Can't wait to try these puppies out tonight!!! They are not much lighter than my AC 420's, maybe 200g's, so ja, not really expecting them to be any faster, but we'll see.Tongue

They will be faster due to the greater rim depth - especially at faster speeds.

200g on rotational weight should certainly make quite a difference, especially for your skinny legs, less weight to try and get going to start rolling them LOL

You certainly picked the rigth race / route to start using deepsection carbon wheels. Just take care on that bad section of road amongs the trees. And lets hope for your sake the wind stays away on Sunday...

thx WW, don't really want to use them for the WCE since that road has so maybe bad spots...but like i said, my AC's are our of action till next week, so it's either that or I could come do it with my Mtb...choices choices.

WW, do you know if I need special brake blocks for the rims, it says it got ceramic brake surface???

You got to use them - I have used my 404's on all surfaces and you take your chances and just hope that Fatty warns you about the pot hole he has just ridden through...

Normal blocks seem to work well on my rims (have tried others but they get very grabby)

thx BikeMax, do the Zipps also have a ceramic brake surface? it all looks the saam to me, like I can't see were the ceramic part is suppose to start//
