My wife passed the scene this morning on the way back from dropping the kids. Probably just after it happened. She was quite upset. Said the poor guy's head was bashed open and blood everywhere.

 

Shame man. Just some guy on his way to work.

Damn that's up the road from me, on the way to Ridgeway cycles. We ride this way all the time. RIP.

Looking at the picture closer, I see a side mirror on the grass and that bakkie(amarok?) is missing it's side mirror. Possibly that vehicle?

Not sure, She said there were a few cars standing around there. She was more disturbed by the rider. The estate said the cops were there and the road is closed for investigations, so we'll see.

That is sad, I used to see him going home almost everyday.
