Clinty, you stated that you don't want to spend more then your bike. Well, if you have the new Merida 96 then there is no bike light in the world that will cost more. You can buy 10 Brighter Lights and still have change. But if you ride a P'nP Raleigh you should go back to P'nP and buy an Energizer torch.

 

For 2k get the Brighter Light Rev 1

for 4k get the Brighter Light Rev 4

 

BTW, none of these are available in stores and only through Brighter Lights himself.

No matter how good your headlight, just remember never to go out without a mini penlight torch in your saddle bag. If you puncture or have to make a repair, it can save your life. Using a headlight for that job depletes your battery.
