Ready for action - worked out at 10.8kg with pedals/cage etc.

OH My GOOOOOOGLE, REMOVE THAT CAGE FROM THERE. I thought you had taste. You should have gone with black housing or even red i-link cousing.

Cage - a necessary evil! Medium , Large, X-large frames come with Bottle Cage mounts in the front triangle - smaller frames have to go with the bottom of the Downtube ...

Option 2 is the Seatpost mounted type which I hope to get soon.

Besides, nothing wrong with using a hydration pack for the longer rides!

This is the start, I have plans for phase 2 .....

Did you blow your budget on the build and now you can't afford a Camelback?

LOL

Seriously, the cage look weird there dude, take it off. You don't need water on a ride, as long as the bike looks cool!

How about one of these for the seatpost - Black Anodized with Red Bottle Cage Thumbs%20Up

That'll work, although I have issues with seatpost mounted cages: No matter what you do, the bottle opening is either pointing at your ass or at your crotch DeadLOL

I think you should look at what's easiest to get to as well, no use building this great XC bike if you have to stop to get the bottle out of the cage without falling off the bike.
