Hi all. I am looking for some advice on the SIDI Swift Air MTB shoes - are these indoor only or can they be used in the great outdoors? The description has them listed as mountain bike shoes but they are classified as indoor so I want to know if they will stand up to the rigours of mud and water. Many thanks!

Never seen MTB shoes specifically designed for indoor use - Maybe they are for IDT and gym spinning sessions so to answer your question i would say no, they don't look very robust - rather look around for something more suitable that suits your budget - I'm not a Shitmano fan but they normally have well priced MTB shoes and they, like their pedals, are bulletproof

SWIFT AIR CARBON CYCLING SHOE

The Swift Air Carbon Mountain Bike Shoe is Sidi's all new indoor cycling shoe designed to fit 2-bolt cleats. Though it is the most modestly priced option in Sidi's lineup, you'll still enjoy the exceptional Italian-made quality that Sidi is known for. The shoe is constructed using Sidi's Competition Sole that delivers efficient pedaling and walkability and features nylon tread blocks for grip when you're off the bike. The uppers are made of a synthetic Politex material that offers strong resistance to rips, lacerations, stretching, and fading while providing comfortable support for your foot with extensive perforations to ensure breathability. Sidi even gives the shoes a reinforced heel cup for improved power transfer and a superior fit that resists deformation over time.

I'd say you can use them off road. Probably best for summer since Sidi is already a tight fit.  Don't xpect them to last nearly as long as a Dragon SRS or Tiger.

I've got a pair of Sidi DRagon 2 SRS circa 2008, they're white and blue and won't die
