26 inch to 29 inch wheels

Good day. If I have a 26 inch bicycle (Scott Tampico) am I able to change the wheel size to 29 inches on the same bike?

Some 26er frames could fit 27.5 wheels some with good tyre clearance some with only a 2.0 or 2.1. Most definitely would not be able to run 29er with mtb tyres.

No... You may be able to put 27.5, but definitely not 29.

 

I had a Scott Montana. I am sure it's the same frame as the Tampico. I put 27.5 wheels on it.

 

The Tampico had v-brakes. If you upgrade to bigger wheels you may need to change the brakes to discs as I'm not sure you will find 27.5 wheels with rim brake surfaces
