peepeekaitjie Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Good Afternoon, I was was wondering whether there was any actual real difference between the above mention brands with regards to their entry level bikes. Specifically the entry level 20-25k bikes with 105. I mostly ride a mid 80s Le Jeune with Shimano 600, which in my opinion is smooth as silk and as comfortable as a camel. But I am considering 'upgrading' so I can strip and restore my beloved Le Jeune to it's former glory. It is my daily commuter and long sunday ride and sleeps next to my bed. Should I be looking at these bikes or just get a steel beater in the meantime?
JohanDiv Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Personally out of that line-up I wouldn't look much further than a Giant TCR in The Hub classifieds. Some nice deals on them between R10k and R30k. Some of them even with Ultegra groupsets!

ChrisF Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 My 2c .... Add Titan to your list ... Trek loves their own unique parts for the simplest things .... nice bikes, but maintenance and repairs are costly due to this approach .... paid my school fees on this.
