Again, wondering about the parallels between youth road and MTB series ....

For the SPUR series the kid is entered based on the SCHOOL. The SCHOOL pays an affiliation fee to SCSA, Schools Cycling SA.

Not sure how to tag a user but Attie from Anatomic or deon would be the best for info as the Spur Series is there baby they started it all.

Thank you

I am reasonably up to speed on the SPUR side, being the "parent reprasentative" for our school's kids in the series.  I am getting all their correspondence, actually paid their affiliation fees during the week.

Would like to know more about the junior road series ... who knows where Maritz's cycling goes, and probably just a matter of time before a parent asks me about the road series ...

You may also need CSA Membership, Domestic Racing Licence, Province affiliation and be a CSA registered club member.

Not sure this will be so for Youth but Junior's will need this.

CSA membership only needed for the Youth age groups (U17 and younger).

A racing license is only needed from Juniors and older.

edit: road cycling. While my club organises a MTB race, I'm a little less knowledgeable compared to road.
