2nd Hand Carbon Frame

Recommended Posts

I am looking at frames to do a bike build.

As most will know frames or bike components in general is problematic depending on what you want.

So, there is a frame, 2nd hand or shop demo, carbon and resprayed for R30k.

Would you take the chance?

Would you buy a car that was resprayed?

That is too expensive for a 2nd hand carbon frame (road or MTB). Unless it's something really special.

You'd be better off buying a complete bike and selling all the parts except for the frame.

Work out the value of the components, add R30k and see if it is still worth it.

What comeback do you have if there is issues with the frame.

Hehe, I did not want to share detail, did not want to step on any toes.

So yes, MTB,

Reason, want a unique build, so looking at something like Evil, Pivot, Pyga.

However Pivot is a no go, no stock, no SA distributor.

how did you sniff that out?

I have a Following MB and it is absolutely epic. I'm tempted to send my frame back to Trailtech to change the colour.

If you are Gauteng based you are welcome to size mine to see if the large frame will be spot on for you.
