Please report back here if you manage a finish anywhere inside the top 30places, or top 10 in your age category.

Does 6th in my batch count as a good enough result to warrant wanting a GPX file for pacing?

On the camelbaks... as Trashy pointed out, I've dug a deep trench in the "2 bottle cage" camp so I don't think I can change sides now. But also... I rode with a camelbak for many years when I first started out and my bike only had 1 cage... I thought it was great, until I got into road cycling and learnt about the joys of having nothing on your back and being able to see how much water your have left.

In the 2006 Cape Epic, my riding partner and myself stopped to help a Spanish team, with a tool they needed; they were riders at the pointy end, we were a ways back, anyhow, whilst stopped with them, we asked “where are your Camelbacks…?” to which they replied…”why are you wearing them…”, well, the following year we ditched the Camelbacks, and never looked back - fun story!

Absolutely loved it. All went well, felt strong at the end and could’ve gone a bit longer but my riding partner was taking a bit of strain.

Not sure what time you started, but today was a tough day in the wind. Nicely done man!
