Do saddles creak... and when should you replace it?

I did some spray lubing of the rail seat junctions with no difference noted in the creaking. Next I'm going to put an old seat on the bike and see if that makes a difference. Or perhaps I should just buy some earplugs or headphones and drown out the noise?

Most replies refer to the rail were it fits into the saddle and that is the point of creeking . Oil /grease or a Q20 type spray is a good starting point . Use a Silicon spray with saddle off upside down and spray it liberally into those three points and let it soak in for a hour or so . The silicon does not affect the integrity of the material the saddle is made of .
