Hi All, im fairly new to all this. i was busy pumping tyres when suddenly i hear more air escaping. now when i press it i feel air escaping from the valve.

Can just the valve be replaced, if it is the valve, do i have to buy a new tube?

Advice and recommendations appreciated.

Chances are that it is a tjoepless tyre in which case either the valve is bust at the base or you need to tighten the valve on the rim. Try the latter first. If it has a tjoep in then the valve has torn away from the tjoep and will need to be replaced. Sometimes the tip of the valve has come loose and needs to be tightened.

somewhat related question, how do i know if my bike is tubeless? :)

Slowly remove the tyre and if you have a mess and no tjoep then you know it is tjoepless.

Otherwise bring your bike round and I will show you how but I am in Hout Bay.

Where are you based ???

Please try this yourself.

Getting a flat tire is part of the sport.

Being able to swop out a tube trailside is a skill all riders needs.

Nope !!!!! you do not take this to a place for them to look at it you do it yourself  !!!

Search Youtube  "how to replace a mountain bike tube" and take it from there.

If you ride a mtb you teach yourself to replace and patch a tjoep.

😄

thank you ill do just that!
