Marsella Posted February 16, 2022 Share We are from Knysna and we are planning to spend a couple of days in Stellenbosch next week. We’re bringing our bikes but don’t know the area at all. We’re looking for a couple of 30-60km rides, intermediate level, and possibly some easy single tracks. The views and the nature experience are as important to us as the cycling. Any suggestions are really appreciated! GPX or Strava trails would be great! Thank you, Marsella Edited February 16, 2022 by Marsella

BenReaper Posted February 16, 2022 Share There are a bunch, I'm not familiar with all of them, but one of my favorite places I've ridden is Jonkershoek. An absolute must. I'm sure someone will be around shortly to inform you of the others. Marsella

michaelbiker Posted February 17, 2022 Share You are in for a treat! Take a look at Trailforks. Stellenbosch area has hundreds of kilometres of trails stretching from Paarl to Somerset West Just make sure to keep your bikes secured at all times and never leave them unattended. It’s a hotspot for bike theft in the town. Mamil and Marsella 1
Robbie Stewart Posted February 17, 2022 Share All the trails in the Cape have the required scenery. You won't be disappointed in the beauty aspect of the rides as far as the scenery is concerned. Your main problem is choosing where to ride; Jonkershoek - a MUST! Banhoek conservancy - another must Plaisir de Merlé - some proper flow with jumps that will please beginners and pinners alike Boschendal Montmarie / G-Spot Coetzenburg (for some World Cup XCO action) Bottelary Hills Dirtopia Rhebokskloof (Paarl side but has some proper sharp and steep climbs and long single track descents, and you can do a loop of Paarl Mountain with some epic views) Marsella

The best thing about Stellenbosch is that there are plenty of free trails as well. Robbie Stewart and Marsella
