Kevin van Melsen unhappy about almost being run over after crashing

Kevin van Melsen almost got hit by a camera bike and a car, naturally unhappy. Says the camera bikes and cars are too close, many saying if you dont crash wont be a problem...thoughts?

I think he has a strong point. Not the only close call I've seen this spring.

The cars are definitely too close. It is dumb

They should be a few hundred metres back. It will make getting back into the bunch after getting dropped a bit more of a team event/challenge, it will be safer and realistically a crash or mechanical usually takes a few seconds for rider and bike to pull over/stop/get up etc which the support cars cover in less time.

I'm all for removing as much of that road chatter as possible.
