Congratulations!!!

Truly the greatest moments in my life was the birth of my children, 4 years apart.

The first day they were home, both crapped on me duirng bath time, basically marking me as their dad and those are my second fondest memories.

You have some awesome times ahead, but between now and baby being born, just pay as much attention to your wife as you can. It's a grueling but exciting time for them, their feet needs rubbing, they need pickles and peanutbutter all at the same time, you can't be more than 50m's from a loo etc, just be patient!

The Braun in Ear thermometer is a must, we still use it 16 years later.

And some sage advice: you can't bank sleep, so get the naps in when you can the day the little one arrives.

Good luck to you both, hope it all goes well!

What you learn by the time of the second child is that they bounce before they break, the 5 second rule can stretch to 3min and parenthood should be fun and not stressful.

Enjoy the kids while they are still young, this phase does not last long ... then enjoy the human beings they are becoming.

My kids would eat a Smartie that's been on the car floor for a month.

Any advice on trailers for kids...Got the first one on its way in Sept...so pre planning/hoping for some riding. Got an e-bike and lucky to live next to my local trail. Obviously when the little Moth is older I would like to take him/her/they/them 🙃 on some fire road. (Wont tell the mother)

These Thule XT trailers look good, but zero suspension. I assume it will be more of an ride on tar, far away from cars.  Any thoughts?

@JJ how was the first week....

From my side, and as still a first time dad, although I THINK I'm doing a good job as being a parent - spend as much time with your child as you can. Work gets in the way, for obvious reasons although put the phone down when you're in the lounge or around the dining room table. My daughter turned 5 in April and I still wish I had got that hospital selfie when my wife was in theatre - not my fault though as I was told to stay out of theatre as we had an emergency C-Section, but anyway. As much as I love my Mrs, my child is and always will be my number one priority.
