Willie Hond or Levitate bike mount

Right, so the infrequently used bikes are hanging in the shed, but the daily use road bike needs to live in the garage for ease of access.

I used to use a pulley system with the bike hanging from the roof between the 2 cars, but we recently installed sectional doors and the rails have taken this space away from me. The wife vetoed my McGyver plan to hang the bike from the rails, so after much head scratching it seems that the best solution is going to be a Willie Hond or Levitate style mount next to the one car.

They seem to be similarly priced, does anyone have experience with both and can advise the better of the 2.

Also anyone know of any specials running anywhere on them ?

I don't have any experience with the Levitate mount. The Wille Honde ones are great and does exactly what it says on the packaging. They are easy to mount and use. They are on special on the Extreme Lights website

nope.

The hang from the pedal style mounts will allow me to lift the bike high enough to clear the car and also still squeeze myself past and get into the car.

I use the Levitate mounts for two mountain bikes in the garage. I considered both of your options at the time and opted for the Levitate as it was a little cheaper. I also felt that the Levitate mount supports both wheels it could be more stable (I don't know if this is actually the case though). The second support probably made the installation a little bit trickier, but it wasn't rocket science.

The Levitate support has some hooks to hang a helmet, etc., which I find handy. I don't think you'll go wrong either way though.

Another vote for the levitate mount.

I prefer the support of both wheels.

Don't think you can go wrong with either. The pedal mount supports the bike, the other mounts are just levelers (so pay attention if you want the bikes to be parallel) to the floor.

Waiting for the two sets of Levitate Bike mounts I ordered yesterday. Currently R285 per set on Takealot. The fact that it supports both wheels, is lockable and you can hang helmets, etc from it, is what swayed me in that direction.
